The Pittsburgh Chapter was established in 1948 and currently has 24 active members and one Lifetime member.
The chapter hosted the annual National Convention in 1951, 1958, 1964, 1975, 1990, 2003 and 2017.
Between 1948 and 1951 the Pittsburgh Chapter held two Charity Balls. The first one in December 1949 under the direction of Mary McEnheimer and her committee, was a huge success financially. The second was a “Supper Dance Charity Ball” held Christmas season 1950 with Alene Briggs Brown as chairman. Children’s Hospital was the charity which benefitted from both of these endeavors.
