The Cleveland Chapter was established in 1986 and currently has 33 active members and seven Lifetime members.
The Cleveland Chapter of Northeasterners, Inc. began as a result of chapter charter members Libby Haynes and Amy Young who had connections to members in the Columbus chapter. The Cleveland Chapter was then graciously sponsored by the Columbus Chapter. Northeasterners, Inc. unanimously approved the newest chapter in May of 1986 at the national convention. The Cleveland Chapter was inducted on November 21, 1986 with members from all 11 other chapters in attendance. Sylvia Jones served as the chapter’s first National President. Felicia Davis is the current chapter’s National President.
The Cleveland Chapter looks forward to hosting the 2022 National Convention!

Grace Dennis, Diana Dutton, Samuella Foney (Past National Treasurer), Barbara Gunn, Elizabeth “Libby” Haynes, Estelle Shorter Holmes, Carolyn Huggins, Sylvia Thompson Jones (Past National President), Joan Johnson, Marnette Lee, Vivian Marsh, Norma Sawyer, O’Dessa Whitaker Sumpter, Stella Whitley, Amy Young, and Palestine Zellars (Past National Financial Secretary).
