The Chicago Chapter was established in 1961 and currently has 21 active members and two Lifetime members.
The Charter members were Elizabeth Davis, Kathryn Dickerson, Maudelle Evans, Isabelle Gibson, Mildred Gibson, Irma Jefferson, Eunice Johnson, Madeleine Johnson, Bea Mae Jones (1st Chapter President), Lois Lowe, Harryetta Matthews, Henrietta McMillan, Irvena Ming, Amy Parsons, Dorothy Runner, Myrtle Sengstacke, Wyonella Smith, Evelyn Spencer, and Elizabeth Walker. The legacy of friendship, the exchange of ideas and the participation in cultural activities established by our charter members remains today.
